Former president and first lady Barrack and Michelle Obama have signed an agreement to produce films and series for Netflix. The Obamas will operate under their newly established production company ‘Higher Ground’ in order to produce unscripted series, scripted series, documentaries and features.
Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement, “The Obamas are uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities.”
Now let’s see if the couple can make a difference in the television industry.
