Where Will Amazon’s New Headquarters Be?

Amazon has been in the news a lot lately, thanks to its new partnership with Kohl’s. But, Amazon is still looking for the location of its second headquarters. Hosting the retail Goliath may be more of a headache than anything else, according to some economists.

Even though business owners, mayors and even residents of cities are hoping to land the company, economists are warning consumers that it could cause more harm than good. Of course people are arguing having Amazon come to town may mean economic prosperity, there’s some baggage that comes along with having the golden ticket.

Potential issues of hosting the $479 billion giant include housing crises for renters, influx of workforce and major traffic jams. Formal bids in this nationwide search for Amazon’s second headquarters are due Thursday.
