Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Donates $1 Million to CA Fire Relief

Last week, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a generous donation to the sum of $1 million dollars towards Camp Fire relief efforts.

The California Camp Fire is one of the worst wildfires in the history of California. The confirmed death toll is at 85, and there are 249 people still missing. Property damage estimates are reaching $10 billion, Butte County has been thoroughly ravaged, and the town of Paradise is nearly completely destroyed. Though the fire has been contained, any additional help is greatly appreciated, and that’s why Aaron Rodgers donation comes as very pleasant, and welcome news.

Rodgers, who was born and raised in Chico, California which is the most populated city in Butte County, announced that he had donated $1 million dollars to the North Valley Community Foundation to help with relief effort. Rodgers revealed his donation in a video on his Twitter account, and also informed his social media following that partner State Farm will donate $1 per retweet, up to $1 million dollars. The Green Bay Packers have also donated $250,000 to Camp Fire relief effort.

The people of Butte County can use all the assistance they can get, and this money will be put to good use on improving relief efforts.
