Kylie Jenner has been named the youngest self-made billionaire of all time, anywhere in the world. The young entrepreneur was given the title by Forbes magazine, thanks to the ultra-successful cosmetics company she started in 2015.
Jenner, who is currently 21 years old, made it onto the Forbes list of billionaires as early as 2015, selling $29 cosmetics kits with matching lipstick and lip liner. The Forbes lists differentiate wealth that is (for the most part) inherited from wealth that is self-earned. Although her half-sisters are very famous and wealthy reality television stars, Kylie Jenner started her own company, of which she owns 100%. As such, she holds the titles of Forbes youngest billionaire and Forbes youngest self-made billionaire. Jenner is currently in 2057th place on the Forbes billionaire list, and would be regardless of the source of her wealth.
In 2018, Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics made an estimated $360 million in sales. The young billionaire also receives income from endorsements and cable television appearances.
