Former Convicts of Cannabis-Related Crimes Now Training for Legal Industry

Millions of dollars are being invested into a cannabis-related program in the motor city.

8 cannabis companies are coming together to create a new “cannabis business park” which will spur further development in the cannabis industry. These companies include 5 cultivation businesses, 2 processing businesses, and one provisioning center. This is all big news for the cannabis industry, but this kind of “business park” has been launched before for countless industries. What makes this one unique is not only the products offered and services rendered, but the person who runs it and the people who’ll be working there.

Management at the business park has stated their intention to hire those who have previously been in trouble with the law over cannabis-related offences. Investors are hoping to make this center the future of the cannabis business in Detroit, and it will hire approximately 100 people. Ex-convicts of cannabis-related offences will receive training and find employment in the young and legal cannabis industry.
