Find Out Why Most Millennials Aren’t Investors

Why Millennials Aren’t Market Masters

Even with the stock market near record highs the market is having trouble attracting new customers, especially new young customers.

When BankRate conducted a recent survey not only did they find out that millennials are failing to invest but they found out that only 26% of people under 30 are investing in the stock market. Wow, how crazy is that!

So, the question is why aren’t they choosing to invest. Some of the reasons maybe:

  1. They don’t have a ton of money to invest at the moment as some maybe just coming out of college and their incomes aren’t steady so there is not too much room to save.
  2. Another reason maybe that they just don’t know too much about it as they are just coming out of college or even high school.
  3. They may not see a lot of opportunity in the markets. Since past market crashes many millennials feel like they don’t need to be investing if there is a risk for failure.

As millennials maybe changing the market, another outstanding study from BankRate says that its not just millennials who aren’t investing but its 52% of all Americans who are choosing not to invest in the current market even though it is doing relatively well. What goes up must come down we always say and hey we guess its true.
