If you’re a patron of Chase bank and own a Chase Freedom credit card (or are considering one), the bank has some new rewards to entice you.
The Freedom card usually earns 1% cash back on all purchases. However, as a new incentive of the Freedom card, your cash back increases to 5% on every purchase within three special categories. The categories for Q1 are:
- Gas stations and convenience stores with gas pumps
- Toll booths, including EZ Pass
- Drugstore purchases
These categories will be changing every financial quarter, so make sure to get the most out of them while they’re there. Also important to note is the reward cap; every quarter, you can earn up to $1,500 in cash back rewards. Remember to reactivate your Chase account every quarter to keep the bonuses coming. Don’t worry, it doesn’t cost anything, and you can do it right from Chase’s website. Any newcomers to the Freedom card will also receive a sign-up bonus of $150 if they spend $500 within the first three months of owning the card.
