Why Co-Working Spaces Are Becoming So Popular

If you ever feel tired of working in an office, you’re far from alone.

The modern workplace has been changing, and so has the way we look at work in general. This is why co-working spaces are becoming far more popular, and workers will often pay quite a bit to be able to work in one.

The flexible workplace industry has been growing extremely quickly in recent years. This is especially true in big cities like New York, Toronto, and Tel Aviv, where tech startups often prefer a more modern approach to work spaces. In fact, the flexible workplace industry has grown at a rate of about 23% each year since 2010. These co-working spaces are often quite comfortable, but with a professional backdrop that makes it easier to focus on work. They are also open concept for the most part, making them the antithesis to the “cubicle farm” appearance of many offices, especially ones set up before the turn of the millennium.

Co-working spaces offer several benefits over traditional offices. The lack of a cubicle while being surrounded by other hard-working professionals makes co-working spaces a blessing for productivity. Unlike traditional offices, the productive yet friendly appearance of these spaces also fosters networking and a greater sense of community. They are also a great way for startups to cut costs, as using co-working spaces, while not super cheap, is certainly cheaper than renting out office space. This is why tech startups have embraced the concept especially enthusiastically.
