Prop Expo Auctions Off Big Bucks

Do you want to get your hands on some of the most fascinating and sought-after collectible items from your favorite movies? Well now is your chance, as this memorabilia is going on sale at auction… and just like some of the items themselves, the prices are out of this world.

In central London, the Prop Store Live auction is set to be held where over 3.5 billion pounds worth of items are set to go on sale. That’s the U.S. equivalent of 4.5 billion dollars! But, are the items really worth it? Let’s take a look at some of the heavy hitters.

First up is Han Solo’s “The Empire Strikes Back” jacket that was worn by Harrison Ford. This item alone is expected to rake in at least $1.3 million, if not more. There’s also Marty McFly’s hoverboard from “Back To The Future” which is going to get a pretty penny as well as the same fedora from the classic Indiana Jones movies.

Overall, the expo will contain both huge sales and smaller props alike. There’s expected to be around 270 different rare items that will be auctioned off. The auction is on September 20th in Waterloo, so if you’re a huge movie or television buff, it might be worth a flight out just to see the props before they’re shipped away forever.
