CVS Will Soon Offer CBD Oils

CVS has announced that CBD products will be offered at 800 stores in 8 states.

As cannabis and related products are legalized across the US, there will be new products available at certain stores. The states CVS will offer these products include Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Tennessee.

CBD-infused sprays, oils, creams, and roll-ons will soon be offered at participating CVS locations. These hemp-derived CBD products will be sold across the country in jurisdictions where the sale of such products is legal. The pharmacy and drug store chain will also be marketing their new topical cannabidiol products as an “alternative source of relief”. The new additions will come alongside a new partnership between CVS and a testing company which will take care of the quality assurance end of the business.

“We are carrying hemp-derived CBD products in select states to help meet consumer demand for alternative care options,” CVS Health Spokesperson Mike DeAngelis said on the matter.

CBD products are used to treat pain, inflammation, stress, and anxiety. Although they come from a type of cannabis plant, and are legally treated as such, CBD doesn’t induce intoxication. At the moment there is still a lack of scientific evidence backing the supposed benefits of CBD oil, so it will be sold as an alternative to other proven paths to relief.
