Iger wants all employees in the office at least four days a week.

Since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, many major businesses throughout the United States have opted for a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work either in the office or from home depending on their preferences. However, as pandemic restrictions have loosened, many companies have begun ordering their employees back to the office. The latest company to do this is Disney.

This week, Bob Iger, who returned to the position of Disney CEO back in November, ordered remote employees back to the office effective March 1. From that time, all Disney employees must spend at least four days of the work week in the office according to Iger’s official email obtained by CNBC.

“Employees currently working in a hybrid fashion will be asked to spend four days a week on-site, targeting Monday through Thursday as in-person workdays,” Iger wrote.

“As I’ve been meeting with teams throughout the company over the past few months, I’ve been reminded of the tremendous value in being together with the people you work with,” Iger added. “As you’ve heard me say many times, creativity is the heart and soul of who we are and what we do at Disney. And in a creative business like ours, nothing can replace the ability to connect, observe, and create with peers that comes from being physically together, nor the opportunity to grow professionally by learning from leaders and mentors.”
