Save Money With Surprisingly Freezable Foods

Freeze Your Way to a Better Bank Account

We’ve all had to throw out uneaten food that has gone bad. It feels like such a waste, and you’re basically just throwing away your hard earned cash. Instead, why not start preserving more of your food using a handy household appliance, the freezer (yup, it’s that really cold thing beside the refrigerator)!

savemoneywithsurprisinglyfreezablefoods1To freeze everyday items like fresh herbs, all you have to do it place them side by side on a baking sheet before storing them in the freezer.

Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and then when they’re frozen, place them in a ziplock bag for more space conscious storage.

Going away on vacation but just realized you have a gallon of milk in your fridge? Just pour a little out to leave room for expansion before you pop it in the freezer. Once you’re back from your trip, simple let it thaw in the fridge for a few days, shake it up before pouring and enjoy!

These are just a few of the many foods we love to freeze. We love preserving our loaf of bread, chocolates that might melt and of course fresh fruit and berries frozen using the baking tray method.

Start preserving more of your foods and put that extra spending on ice!
