According to one study sampling a thousand business owners, the average small business owner wastes 44 minutes of work time per day, with the cause being worries regarding their business.

Business owners’ biggest worries vary on a case-by-case basis, but there are a few common themes. The economy, cash flow, and time management (go figure) are among the largest concerns, but worrying about these factors does nothing to fix your business’s underlying problems. If you do the math, the time the average small business owner wastes worrying adds up quickly. Furthermore, time is money, and this is certainly more true of business owners than it is of salaried employees. As a business owner, there is no way to recover your losses resulting from time spent stressing out.

So, if you’re worried about the economy or your cash flow, try to turn your fear into prudence and simply think of these challenges in terms of their solutions.
