Cartoon Network to Open Themed Hotel in 2019

Cartoon-specializing TV network Cartoon Network has announced their intention to open a hotel in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania with the aid of Palace Entertainment. Rival animation network Nickelodeon has been dabbling in hotels since the early 2000s, but this will be the first major attempt on Cartoon Network’s part to enter this industry.

According to the conceptual plans, the hotel, which will be based off of highway Route 30, will encompass nine acres of land and will be themed around the network’s most popular properties, including Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, and The Powerpuff Girls. Rooms can be customized to a guest’s specifications and include specific decorations based on a Cartoon Network show of their choice.

The hotel will feature numerous outdoor attractions, such as a private water park, an amphitheater, and a large lawn with games. Inside, there will be an additional pool, as well as a game room, a play area, and a gift shop. In a news release, Cartoon Network said that “through a combination of character animation and creative technology, the entire property will offer fun and unexpected ways to experience the animated worlds of Cartoon Network from the moment of arrival.”

The hotel is expected to be complete and open to the public by Summer 2019.
