If you’re fresh out of school or are an experienced flight attendant and are currently looking for work, Delta’s hiring.

Delta Airlines is the second largest airline in the US and they currently employ about 25,000 flight attendants. Going forward, the airline is hoping to push that number up to 26,000, and they’re offering successful candidates a long-term career and a few perks.

According to Delta Airlines, they are looking for 1,000 flight attendants who are “highly skilled, safety-minded problem solvers who have a passion for creating memories and connecting the world.” One of the perks they offer is reduced fares for employees on flights all around the globe. The competition for these positions is expected to be fierce, as Atlanta News Now reports that there are over 150 applicants per available position. Delta Airlines’ average entry-level salary is close to $25,000. This rate is on the lower end of the $21,000-$54,000 afforded to flight attendants with no previous experience in Detroit, according to Payscale.

The qualifications for these flight attendant positions are a high school diploma, the legal ability to work in the US, fluent English, and a lack of tattoos that would be visible while wearing the Delta uniform. You must be at least 21 years old as of January 1st 2020, be willing to complete domestic and international routes, and complete six weeks of training at Delta Airlines HQ.
