This past winter one brave team set off on an adventure like no other. A hundred years after Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance Expedition, Patrick Bergel, the great-grandson of Shackleton, along with Hyundai, decided that they were to complete Shackleton’s unfinished dream.
They made their way into the history books completing his unfinished dream and it was so awesome that Hyundai Motor even made a short film about it.”It’s the centenary of my great-grandfather’s final expedition, the Trans-Antarctic Crossing. I think the fact that we were the first to cross the Antarctic in a wheeled vehicle meant that it wasn’t easily achievable and the fact that we were the first definitely added something to the expedition and made it much more meaningful.” -Patrick Bergel
