The restaurant is very focused on serving anti-inflammatory ingredients. The food they serve was inspired by Dr. Andrew Will’s food pyramid. True Food serves dishes that are inspired by Mediterranean and Asian flavors. They also offer options that are vegetarian and vegan. True Food Kitchen started in 2016 and only had 16 locations. Since then, it has expanded rapidly. It first spiked Oprah’s interest after she ate their with weight loss expert Bob Green.
Oprah stated, “I was so impressed with the team’s passion for healthy eating, and of course the delicious food, that I knew I wanted to be part of the company’s future.” Her personal favorite dish is the Tuscan Kale Salad, and her go-to cocktail is the Thai Grapefruit Martini.
