Microsoft President: The Top Tech Issues Of 2018

Microsoft has published its list of the top 10 technology issues that the company will be monitoring in 2018. They feel that it is important for computer users to update their systems as the updates become available.

Microsoft President Brad Smith speaks about how all of the chip giants have been working together in an unprecedented way to resolve these issues. He adds that the only way to stay in front of a threat is to continually analyze and monitor the work you have done and the work you will be doing in the future to protect the security and privacy of computers.

Additionally, Smith speaks about improving the level of diversity in tech companies, particularly when it pertains to the number of women who work in the field. He thinks that concrete steps need to be taken in order to improve this dilemma. In order to create diversity in the tech companies, Microsoft says that the company wants to endorse the Senate bill addressing sexual harassment, work to extend #MeToo impact, and end secrecy in sexual harassment claims.

In order to reduce the risk of private information being stolen, Microsoft wants to set a new standard for big tech companies storing private information about their users. A “key milestone” will be the launch of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will enforce regulations on the use of private data, no matter where the company is headquartered.
