How To Avoid Over Spending At Costco

If you’ve ever been to Costco, then you already know…it’s very easy to go over budget. While shopping at Costco, you have the choice to purchase basically anything in bulk. This seems enticing, but unless you will use all of the foods your buying, you’re just wasting your money and probably going over your budget in the process. Create your budget and stick to it, and perhaps a few of these tips will help you do just that!

1. You don’t always need a membership: Some of the gas stations and liquor stores attached to Costco don’t require a membership as they are owned separately. This depends on the state you are in usually.
2. Shop in the middle of the store: Products that do well tend to be out front to grab your eye. Also, more expensive products will always get more face time than the better ‘deals,’ which are always as hidden as possible.
3. Don’t always buy in bulk: Unless it’s for a purpose, you don’t have to buy everything in bulk. Especially if it’s a food item that will likely go bad before you get a chance to eat it!
4. Choose the day wisely: Mondays and the end of summertime are the best times to save at Costco.
