When you’re working your typical 9-5 under the rule of your boss, do you ever check Facebook to see that your entrepreneurial friend is at the beach at three and enjoying him or herself when they want to and you wish you could do that? But what we really want to know is what really makes entrepreneurs so happy all the time!

So, after doing some research the experts have some tips for you:

• Independence isn’t everything: It’s nice not having the same daily routine set up for yourself. When working under a typical boss most people have a daily routine that must be followed. When you’re an entrepreneur this changes a bit. You have more freedom when it comes to a daily routine! The only downside is that if you work alone you don’t get as much feedback as you would like. But hey, remember that entrepreneurs are still happy!

• A top degree can leave founders frustrated: When you have a great degree but the money just isn’t there, you may feel frustrated. When you go into the workplace with a great degree most likely you are expecting top pay. When your boss doesn’t give it to you that’s when you get disappointed. If you have a more specific educational experience then you are likely to be more satisfied.

• There are pros and cons to having a mentor: Use your mentor when you have a big decision to make not in your daily routine because they become less helpful. Also, find a mentor that is specific to your field.
