“Fall in love with the process, and your goals become easy.” That’s sage advice from Mark Werts, founder of American Rag Cie. During this sit-down interview, the businessman talks about how his success wasn’t simply a one-off thing, rather a series of failed attempts that eventually led to one big achievement. Werts says he had hundreds of jobs, lots of which he failed at, reminding us that failure is an essential element in success.
Wertz credits his success in production and distribution a lot to traveling. After traveling the world, you get a real solid glimpse of what works and what doesn’t work. Allowing yourself to have a global perspective should in turn give you a much larger tool box to draw from. Quite simply, anything you have a good or service to offer, you need to understand your market(s) by studying them. Werts also believes that in a world of global communications, like the one we live in, there’s no reason why the United States should be dealing with certain problems.
