Engineers Working On Recyclable Car Parts

Engineers say recyclable car parts are within reach. The engineers at the University of Portsmouth have been trying to find the right natural fibers to replace carbon fibers. This could be for cars, boats and aircraft engineering. The whole goal is to find materials that are lighter in weight. Lighter in weight means less CO2 emissions. Then, overall, that product with the lighter weight materials will become more environmentally friendly.A high performance composite material with the weight of carbon fiber, but is also bio-degradable. The fiber engineers at the University are currently working with is a palm fiber, and now, the idea of recyclable and low-emitting materials seems to be within reach.
