Colorado Will be Rebranded Into 8 New Regions

The state of Colorado is about to get the pizza treatment, splitting it into 8 specialized regions.

Each of these new regions will be given new names and branded differently for business and tourism.

The Colorado Tourism Office and Colorado Tourism Board are hoping to showcase what their state has to offer in all its glory. The ideal case would be a rebranding which spurs further tourism to every corner of the Centennial state. The two tourism bodies are working with a private company to turn this plan into a reality. The regions will include “Mountains and Mesas” as well as “Rockies Playground.” A longer list of less-well-known, but still beautiful and mysterious locations is being put together to offer tourists new and interesting experiences.

“We really wanted to create some romance and interest around what a traveler might find,” the Colorado Tourism Office Director Cathy Ritter said in a statement.

If all goes according to plan, this will spur the tourism industry in Colorado, bringing in new revenue and creating new jobs.
