Japanese prosecutors have arrested Carlos Ghosn for the 4th time since the former executive’s troubles began.

Prosecutors brought Ghosn in for questioning on Thursday, before arresting him once again. It has barely been a month since Ghosn was released on bail following months in custody at a detention center. Shin Kukimoto, Deputy Chief Prosecutor at Tokyo District Prosecutors’ Office, has reported that this fourth arrest was based on allegations separate from those which came out during previous arrests. Kukimoto reports that this case involves different allegations, different people, and different motives.

Mr. Ghosn’s troubles began in November of 2018, when he was arrested for breach of trust and under-reporting his compensation. He was arrested twice in December, released again in March, and is in custody awaiting trial once again.
