Best And Worst Grocery Stores Of America

Consumer Report has conducted its annual survey to find out the best and worst places to go grocery shopping. The factors that are taken into consideration when the survey was distributed to 12,000 Americans were value, speed of service, and cleanliness. There were some surprises on the list, and some predictable outcomes. Let’s dissect the best and worst places to go grocery shopping.

Best: Wegman’s
This New York based chain only has 100 stores, but has came in the number one spot three years in a row. If you ever pass by one, stop in and take in all the glory of this reigning champ.

Worst: Walmart
Wally World has come in dead last. Despite low prices and its signature rollbacks, the cleanliness and efficiency is a major turn off to consumers.

Best: Trader Joe’s
Coming in at number 3 on the list, Trader Joe’s is known for great deals and fast check-out lines. It’s a more familiar name than Wegman’s, but does not carry as much of a variety of products.

Worst: Target
This one surprised me too. I love Target, always thought it was clean, but its bigger scale can always be seen as a downside to consumers because they do not get the individualized attention they want.

Best: Publix
As a Floridian, I can concur that shopping at Publix is always a great experience. While it’s unfortunate that it only exists in the south, it’s clean and friendly nature makes grocery shopping a delight.

Did your go to shopping center make it to the top of the list? If not, maybe it’s time to switch it up.
