‘Avengers: Endgame’ is Going to Make Some Serious Money

Avengers: Endgame is poised to become one of the new financial legends of cinema history.

After the release of the original Titanic, it took a long time for another movie to take its place as the highest grossing movie of all time. In 2009, another movie finally knocked Titanic out of first. That movie was James Cameron’s Avatar. During the decade following Avatar, big-name movies have been amassinbg increasingly competitive worldwide grosses. Avengers: Endgame is projected to make nearly $1 billion, placing it comfortably within the top 40 grossing movies of all time.

Avengers: Endgame is projected to make at least $900 million worldwide after it launches. Analysts believe that up to a third of this intake will come from North American moviegoers. Endgame may not become the highest grossing film of all time, but the $900 million minimum projected would allow the movie to easily shatter previous global opening records for a film. The record for opening records was set by Endgame‘s predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War, which grossed $640 million. The only downside which analysts have pointed out is Endgame‘s lengthy run time.

Despite any apparent challenges to Avengers: Endgame‘s outlook, it could only take seven days for the film to gross $1 billion. The movie will be released in theaters on Friday, April 26th.
