Amid Investigations, Boeing Takes Responsibility for Ethiopian Airlines Crash

The investigation into the recent Ethiopian Airlines crash has revealed that the pilots and flight crew did everything right.

It has now been revealed that the crew “repeatedly” followed recommended procedures during the crash. They also tried everything in the manual before the crash took place, meaning that we now know beyond definitively that there was a problem with the plane.

Despite the fact that the crew followed all guidelines according to a preliminary report, the crew lost control of the Boeing 737 Max 8 and could not regain it in time. The result was a crash that killed all 157 passengers on-board last month. Ethiopian Transport Minister Degmawit Moges released the findings, on top of the fact that they knew the jet had crashed just six minutes after takeoff.

Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg offered his apologies on Thursday, as the manufacturer accepted full responsibility for the tragedy. Boeing also accepted responsibility for the Lion Air Flight 610 crash, and the Max 8 and 9 airplane fleets are currently being grounded as they undergo a software update.
