Amazon Return Service Now Available at Kohl’s

Amazon has expanded its partnership with Kohl’s, making returns easier.

Kohl’s announced on Tuesday that they will accept un-packaged Amazon returns free of charge starting in July.

Kohl’s started taking Amazon returns on a trial basis back in 2017. At the time, 100 stores in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Los Angeles were taking part. The offer has now been expanded to include all of the store’s 1150 locations across 48 states.

“Kohl’s will accept eligible Amazon items, without a box or label, and return them for customers for free, providing additional service and convenience to Amazon customers,” the retailer said in a press release.

This inclusion of free returns for their brick-and-mortar locations comes as part of Kohl’s’ effort to get people back into their stores. The trend in the retail industry has been a slow but steady move towards e-commerce, and brick-and-mortar chains like Kohl’s have been faced with the choice of adapting or becoming obsolete. Many retailers are still doing alright, but large retail chains have been dropping like flies over the course of the last few years. The “retail apocalypse” hasn’t ended yet, and is expected to continue.
