5 Things You Shouldn’t Buy At The Grocery Store

Grocery shopping can quickly snowball into an expensive adventure if you don’t know what you should and should not be buying. Sometimes, you have to skip getting the items you’re accustomed to and leave them on the shelf so you can keep your pockets just a little bit lighter. Here are the top 5 money-wasters to avoid.

Name Brand Cereal
I know, we all love Kelloggs, but sometimes we have to sacrifice the brands we know for store brands like Great Value. Every box can be an extra two dollars wasted, so think about making the switch sooner rather than later.

Spices
Do you really need that extra seasoning if its just going to sit in your cabinet for years until it goes bad? Keep your salt and your pepper, and leave the boujee imported spices at the store.

Prepped Meats
Get the ground beef and make into burgers yourself. You can save a few dollars every time if you can skip the prepped meals and make sure you start from scratch.

Batteries
Dollar store, not grocery store. What even runs on batteries anymore?

Personal Care Products
Dedicated grocery stores that aren’t super centers are going to have really high prices on these products like shampoo and conditioner, so shop around for better sales at other place instead of conveniently buying them at the store you’re already at.

There are certainly more than just five products you can skip buying at the grocery store, but start small and work your way up.
